Our Origin Story

If you've ever spent time in Grand County, you already know the pull. The scenery, the community, the way life just slows down. But mountain living comes with a few trade-offs. We were missing a place for tasteful, modern, everyday pieces — for your home, for the people you love, and honestly, sometimes just for you.

That's what SALT is. Something fresh — still rooted in the cozy mountain life we all moved here for, but with the kind of modern, design-forward style you'll love. SALT is here to spark a little imagination and help you elevate the space you call home.

Meet Our

Founder

There's not much about building and finishing a home that Whitney Huber hasn't touched. She's the founder and CEO of HH Design Firm, designing remarkable spaces across Grand County for years, and she and her husband own and operate Steffen Builders West.

SALT is her latest project, but it runs on the same instinct as everything else she does — a sense for what makes a house actually feel like home. As a long time local, Whitney knows the struggle of not having a place to get a meaningful and beautiful gift for someone or having to travel 2 hours to find fun home items to liven up your space. With this in mind, SALT was born.
